SPS 2025: Where AI Meets the Unified Namespace

Nuremberg/Munich, November 27, 2025 – At this year’s SPS, the i-flow team impressively demonstrated where industrial data architectures are heading when AI meets the Unified Namespace (UNS). Together with our partner TT PSC – Transition Technologies PSC Germany, we presented the latest innovations around the i-flow Industrial UNS and the current release 3.2 at the partner booth. The result: a trade fair appearance that impressively confirmed how crucial AI-supported data architectures have become for the future of industry.

AI Powered UNS: When AI Helps Shape the Future

Our presentation focused on the new generation of the i-flow UNS. Visitors were able to experience live how AI helps to make a UNS faster, more robust and more intelligent.

    1. The AI Mapping Agent automates the mapping of tags to models.
    2. The AI debugger explains problems clearly and speeds up their solution.
    3. The AI Wiki Agent provides immediate answers, best practices and technical insights – directly in the application.

Enabling Intelligence: The UNS as a Database for AI

With the new release 3.2, it became clear that AI doesn’t just need data – it needs contextualized, real-time and trustworthy information. This is exactly what the Industrial UNS delivers. Thanks to namespace queries and industrial APIs, AI systems, LLMs and agents can now directly access live data, subscribe to status changes and feed event streams into models. SPS visitors thus saw for the first time how LLMs can process production-relevant data natively from the UNS.

AI Execution in the UNS: Making Decisions Where Data is Generated

With Release 3.2, i-flow enables the direct execution of AI algorithms in the UNS itself. This means that analysis, anomaly detection, predictions and decisions can be made where the data lives – without additional integration layers. This step marks a milestone for autonomous production processes.

Successful Trade Fair Appearance: New Partnerships & Future Prospects

Our stand (Hall 5, Booth 454) was very busy on all days. The response was consistently positive – from in-depth technical discussions and concrete project planning to new partnerships that further strengthen the i-flow ecosystem. SPS 2025 has confirmed: The future of industrial data starts in the Unified Namespace – and it is AI-driven. Together with TT PSC and our partners, we look forward to continuing to actively shape this future.
