i-flow from Stuttgart finalist at the South Summit of the “world’s most disruptive start-ups”

Stuttgart – The Stuttgart-based Industry 4.0 startup i-flow has been invited to the final round in Madrid by the expert jury of the international startup competition “South Summit”. At the event, which takes place in October, the world’s most promising and disruptive startup is selected in ten categories. i-flow with its software for factory data now has the chance to win the main prize in the “Industry 4.0” category.

The South Summit in Madrid has been bringing together the startup scene in Madrid for several years. The event is a startup fair on the one hand and a startup competition on the other. From fintech to sustainability to tourism, the range of topics covered by participating start-ups is broad. A format that attracts many companies from all over the world. This year, over 3800 applications were once again received for the opportunity to present their own start-up at the event.

The Stuttgart-based start-up i-flow also applied for this year’s event – with success. In the “Industry 4.0” category, the company founded by Daniel Goldeband and Timo Vormweg now has the chance to convince the jury of its own technology and the business model behind it.

We are delighted to be one of the 10 finalists. Of course, there is now huge motivation to bring the title of most disruptive start-up to Germany at the beginning of October.”

says Daniel Goldeband, one of the managing directors.

In addition to the title of being the “Most disruptive startup in the world” in the respective category, the winner also receives a great deal of attention. The event is a popular contact point for innovative companies and investors who are looking for start-ups that either fit in with their own company or are interesting for an investment. Points that are also relevant for i-flow, as Daniel Goldeband puts on record:

“The difficult thing as a start-up, especially in the industry, is not to develop a great product. It is much more challenging to get opportunities to show your own and new approach to potential customers. For us, the South Summit is therefore above all a stage to tell more about our product and our vision.”

The founders all come from a large industrial group in Stuttgart, where they have driven the topic of Industry 4.0 for five plants worldwide. With i-flow, they are now tackling the issue that was a major problem for them at the time: profitably implementing the digital transformation of factories. Today, Industry 4.0 projects often involve so much initial effort that they rarely make it beyond pilot status. I-flow has created a solution for this that is designed to accelerate the return on investment by a factor of 10.
